Any sports team or organization which (i) serves girls ages 12 to 18, (ii) is recognized by the IRS as a tax-exempt public charity under section 501(c)(3) or as unit of government under Section 170(c)(1), and (iii) is based in the United States.
4. Does my organization need to be registered?
Yes, your team or organization must recognized by the IRS as a tax-exempt public charity under section 501(c)(3) or as unit of government under Section 170(c)(1).
5. Are there any parameters or requirements to be aware of?
o Participants must have a clear goal for how they will utilize the grant funding, as well as a general timeline and understanding of how to measure success.
o A video submission is required with each application.
o A background check will be required, should your application be chosen.
6. How will I be notified if I'm chosen?
You will be notified via the email provided along with your application.
7. Is there an estimated date in which the recipients will be notified?
You will be notified around 10-12 weeks after the application window closes.
8. How will the funds be delivered?
Grant funds will be distributed directly to the selected organization via check or ACH payment following execution of the grant agreement and receipt of required documentation.
9. Does the person submitting need to be the same person responsible for the team's funds?
The person submitting the application does not need to be the individual responsible for the team's funds- however, the organization must designate an authorized financial representative prior to grant disbursement.
